  • POSITION SUMMARY
  • The Production Scheduler ensures the manufacturing production process goes smoothly by ensuring all appropriate parts are in place and ready. The goal is to ensure the smooth and cost-effective flow of our production operations.
  • KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Planning, scheduling and coordinating production of the company’s products
  • Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production
  • Scheduling shifts and workers to provide proper coverage
  • Watching costs to ensure the production process stays within budget
  • Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management
  • Handling production disruptions and productivity problems
  • Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs
  • Using market forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production changes
  • All other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:
  • High school diploma; Further education or certification is preferred
  • Proven experience as production planner
  • Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
  • Strong mathematical and statistic aptitude
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • The atmosphere is that of a manufacturing plant.

The position will primarily work where moving machinery produces noise. Employees must wear Personal Protective Equipment that is issued for that location. Temperature can range from extreme cold to extreme heat. Physical demands may include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, climbing, pushing/pulling, forward bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, postural balancing, manipulating, trunk rotation, handling, gripping, and talking (hearing).Associated Materials is a leader in exterior building products for residential and commercial remodeling and new construction markets.
