Job Summary The position of Builder Services Help Desk Expeditor is open within our Internal Operations Division located in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate is an energetic, positive-thinking and motivated individual with high quality standards and an appropriate skill set. This role reports directly to the Builder Services Help Desk Manager and will be responsible for processing and verifying work orders and purchase orders as they are received from our customers, providing superior service to each client and other duties as assigned. This position is expected to work Monday through Friday with occasional overtime and weekend work required based on business levels. Job Responsibilities Processing work orders by reviewing and verifying order information before manually entering in system. Processing purchase orders. Processing customer care requests from our customer base in the residential home builder industry. Dealing directly with customers to ensure accurate and timely processing of work order requisitions. Looking up customer orders as it pertains to estimated installation dates and/or resolution of work request. Verifying information on purchase orders, such as pricing and materials, matching to our customer contract. Responding to customer email inquiries and requests in a timely manner. Developing and maintaining excellent rapport with customers, both internal and external. Managing complications that arise due to order processing and/or damaged products. Handling and communicating any inconsistencies or delays to the customer. Effectively managing the daily workload. Relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the role. Effectively resolving customer issues/concerns. Additional Help Desk related assignments as needed This company participates in E-Verify.

Requirements:

Education/Experience/Skills Minimum of one year of experience in a similar order expediting or customer service role. Experience in Landscaping or Construction industry preferred Excellent computer skills, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite; specifically Excel and Outlook, ERP Systems Familiar with industry terminology and processes for receiving purchase orders and extras Customer-focused mindset; Ability to manage a high volume of customer requests while providing excellent customer service Ability to strategize and plan ahead Ability to understand and carry out instructions Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems Ability to multi task with a strong attention to detail. Strong time management and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication skills, effectively communicating with coworkers, clients and management Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment while exhibiting self-motivation and initiative Utilize key equipment found in a typical office environment (computer, copier, filing systems, etc.) Subject to repetitive motions/ergonomics Preferred (Not Required) Experience/Skills Extensive experience with an ERP or scheduling system Two or more years in a customer service/expediter role Two or more years’ experience working with residential home builders Certification(s) in Excel Advanced computer skills including Office Suite
