The Dental Scheduling Coordinator is a vital member of our team, responsible for managing the appointment schedule for our dental practice, ensuring a positive and efficient patient experience. This role involves scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, confirming appointments, and assisting with treatment planning and financial arrangements. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented and possess excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

Efficiently schedule appointments for all dental procedures, including routine cleanings, exams, and specialized treatments. Effectively fill opportunities in the schedule for all providers. Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide clear and accurate information regarding appointments, procedures, and financial arrangements. Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, ensuring accurate information is recorded and communicated. Confirm appointments with patients via phone, email, or text, reducing no-shows and optimizing the schedule. Assist dentists and hygienists with treatment planning, providing patients with clear explanations of recommended procedures and associated costs. Collect patient payments and process insurance claims. Discuss financial options and payment plans with patients, ensuring they understand their financial responsibilities. Maintain accurate patient records, update insurance information, and manage patient files. Provide exceptional customer service to all patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.

Hours of patient care:

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8 am to 5 pm and Wednesday 10 am to 6 pm.
