The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing production schedules to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of products. This role requires a strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, and supply chain processes. The Production Scheduler will collaborate closely with various departments to forecast demand and manage resources effectively. Duties Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and resource availability. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure alignment between production capabilities and scheduling requirements. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain management to prevent stockouts or excess inventory. Utilize systems such as SAP for tracking production data, managing materials, and analyzing performance metrics. Implement Lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in the production process. Analyze historical data to vaticinate future demand trends and adjust schedules accordingly. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to address scheduling conflicts or changes in production priorities. Prepare reports on production performance, highlighting areas for improvement and recommending solutions. Requirements Proven experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and supply chain processes. Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is highly desirable. Understanding of Lean manufacturing techniques and their application in a production setting. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple schedules simultaneously. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaboration across departments. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
