Commensurate with experience About Us Petal and Company x Holiday Collective is a New York-native design studio specializing in floral activations, holiday decor programs, and immersive brand experiences. We create large-scale installations for iconic city spaces, corporate properties, hospitality groups, public spaces and more- bringing impactful moments to life through hands-on execution and bold creative. We’re a small but mighty team, known for moving fast, working hard, and delivering excellence. As we gear up for our busiest season, we’re looking for a Freelance Operations Manager to support the production process from behind the scenes. The Role The Operations Manager will work hand-in-hand with our Project Manager to oversee logistics, rentals, crew coordination, and production prep. From booking equipment to keeping install crews on schedule, you’ll be the go-to for making sure everything is in the right place at the right time. What You’ll Do Manage logistics for floral and holiday decor installations across NYC and beyond Book and confirm trucks, lifts, equipment, and material deliveries Coordinate crew schedules, call times, and task assignments Keep track of tools, materials, and decor assets before and after installs Create and maintain project calendars and checklists Be on-site during installs to ensure crews have what they need and timelines stay on track Communicate with vendors, freelance crew, and internal teams Troubleshoot logistics challenges and support real-time decision-making Assist with warehouse runs, inventory pulls, and returns What You’ll Bring 3-5 years of experience in operations, event logistics, or production coordination Strong knowledge of production tools, install workflows, and vendor management Ability to manage multiple moving parts and projects simultaneously Highly organized with excellent communication skills Calm, resourceful, and solutions-oriented—especially under pressure Comfortable working in fast-paced, hands-on environments Proficient with Google Suite and production calendars Based in the NYC area and available for site work and occasional travel Nice to Have Experience in decor, floral, or scenic production Ability to manage multiple crews at once Jump in during crunch moments Ability to lift 30+ lbs To Apply Send your resume, availability, and a few lines about your experience to hello@petalandcompany.co.
