Role:
The Scheduler position at Coastal Gastroenterology Associates is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of patient appointments and the overall efficiency of the healthcare services provided. This role involves coordinating schedules for healthcare providers and patients, optimizing appointment times, and managing any scheduling conflicts that may arise. The Scheduler 2 will play a key role in enhancing patient satisfaction by ensuring timely access to care and minimizing wait times. Additionally, this position requires effective communication with both patients and medical staff to facilitate seamless interactions. Ultimately, the Scheduler 2 contributes significantly to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services by maintaining an organized and efficient scheduling system.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in a scheduling or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in healthcare administration or a related field. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Knowledge of medical terminology.
Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate daily appointment schedules for healthcare providers and patients. Communicate with patients to confirm appointments, provide reminders, and address any scheduling inquiries. Utilize scheduling software to optimize appointment times and manage provider availability. Collaborate with medical staff to resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure efficient patient flow. Maintain accurate records of patient appointments and follow-up procedures.
