This state-of-the-art, 750k sq ft, greenfield plant is expected to be operational in late 2025 and will lay the foundation for fairlife’s next phase of growth as the leading dairy nutrition provider. While coupling the industry’s latest technologies and fairlife’s operational excellence to build this world-class facility, fairlife plans to hire 250 new employees and bring in approximately 5 million lbs. of milk a day, with room to grow over the coming years.

job purpose:

The Milk Planning Specialist for incoming raw milk and processing work in coordination with the Supply Chain and Operations teams to ensure proper flow of milk into and through the processing portion of the Webster production facility. Provides daily and weekly coordination on raw milk receiving and development of the processing plan in conjunction with production schedule. Maintains a balanced inventory of raw milk and components to allow for the seamless execution of daily run plans on the production lines across our 24/7/365 operation. Works with Operations team members to optimize equipment capabilities, available tank space, existing milk inventories and production line performance.

responsibilities:

Works closely with production scheduling to gain alignment on required raw milk receipts
Coordinates membrane run plans to meet production line requirements
Develops the milk process forecast/schedule and monitors the plant performance for adherence and adjusts accordingly
Coordinates inbound contractual requirements with our dairy suppliers and bulk load outs with providers
This position requires monitoring of plant performance to plan each day of operation
Support new product launches to meet in market timelines
Own the administration and review of milk receipts and associated follow-ups
Identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities and make recommendations
Supports customer service function, allocation of purchase orders and adjusting inventory levels
Coordinate Orders received and Inventory availability and communicate with Ops to determine production requirements
Liaison with all vendors on order/delivery concerns
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned skills/qualifications required: Minimum of 2 to 5 years in fluid milk or value-added processing
Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3 years of experience with Operations or Production planning
Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
Strong internal and external customer focus with great follow-up
Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Tolerance of ambiguity; flexibility is key working conditions and physical requirements: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment, however regular audits of the plant are expected
No or very limited physical effort required
Limited exposure to physical risk
Some travel to various sites in other states may be required food safety requirements: Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required that may affect product quality or food safety. Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.
Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.
Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required.

Base pay range:
