Nonprofit Operations Coordinator Scion Staffing New York, NY 10001 • Hybrid work Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Nonprofit Operations Coordinator for a nationally recognized social impact organization advancing justice and equity through innovative philanthropic and storytelling initiatives. This full-time position is remote, but candidates must be based in the New York City area.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Nonprofit Operations Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the internal infrastructure and daily operations of a mission-driven nonprofit working at the intersection of philanthropy, culture, and systems change. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, this role will help streamline workflows, support financial and data systems, and contribute to a thriving organizational culture centered on equity and care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage internal systems and data tools, including Salesforce and Google Workspace Coordinate financial processes such as budget tracking, expense reporting, and vendor payments Support grant reporting, donor data reconciliation, and contract management Help facilitate HR functions, including hiring coordination, onboarding, and retreats Maintain operational efficiency through documentation, scheduling, and infrastructure support Serve as a liaison between departments to ensure aligned, organized, and mission-focused operations

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in nonprofit operations, financial coordination, or administrative project management Proficiency in Salesforce and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity Alignment with social justice values and a commitment to equity-driven work

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This is a full-time, remote, contract-to-hire opportunity offering $35-$40/hour (depending on experience), plus medical, dental, vision and voluntary life insurance, an employee assistance plan (EAP), and commuter and transit benefits for those who are working on average 30 or more hours per week.
