We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-driven team member to serve as the key liaison between our customers and production teams. In this dynamic role, you’ll lead product development efforts-from design and modifications to patterns, BOMs, and assembly instructions. You’ll teach essential skills to staff, support day-to-day production, and ensure quality across the board. You’ll also take the lead on setting up, maintaining, and training others on a range of knitting, sewing, cutting, and specialty equipment. Monday-Friday (7 am•3:30 pm) Full Time•40 per week

Design and Operations Coordinator Duties:

This role serves as the primary customer service liaison, ensuring smooth and accurate communication between customers and Finger Lakes Textiles. Responsibilities include entering and updating customer and job information in the MRP system and managing patterns and designs for sewing, knitting, and cutting operations. The position ensures equipment is properly set up for staff and supervisors, and provides training on equipment use, safety, and maintenance. It also includes training team members on design and production software, as well as hands-on techniques in sewing, knitting, and assembly. The role involves measuring skill development, coaching staff, and ensuring all operations meet agency and government standards. Additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor as needed.

Design and Operations Coordinator Required Experience:

The ability to read and write with basic math skills. Must be at least 18 years of age.
