The payrange for this position is listed below. Actual pay rate dependentupon experience. $19.25 – $31.00 Position Highlights A BriefOverview The Centralized Scheduler is responsible for responding tooutpatient diagnostic orders from physicians for hospitaldepartments; interpret physician request for diagnostic test andschedule single to multiple tests according to required patientcare protocols. This position requites the ability to determinemedical necessity validation and handle medical information alongwith transpiring medical orders into the health information system.
Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
Associate’s Science in Medical Assisting from an accrediteduniversity/college and/or 3-5 years hospital, medical office,clinic, or hospital business operations experience
PreferredEducation, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

Work where you matter. ABrief Overview Responsible to accept and coordinate the intake ofpatients and physician orders. Interprets requests from physicianorders and coordinates scheduling for patients. Provides timely,accurate information to patients/caregivers, healthcare staff andproviders. What you will do Ensures the timely and accurate intakeand scheduling of patients by gathering and disseminating necessaryinformation. Communicates with patients, family, physicians andstaff as needed to obtain necessary orders and to coordinate thepatient’s scheduled visits. Provides patient explanation andeducation as necessary to respond to patient questions. Performsaudits as requested by the manager. Completes timely and accurateclinical documentation. Assists with initial and subsequentinsurance authorizations when needed. Essential Qualifications Theindividual must be able to work the hours specified. To performthis job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential job function satisfactorily including having visualacuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability tocommunicate effectively with others, hear, understand anddistinguish speech and other sounds.
