Expeditor (Expo) Legami 492 King Street, Charleston, SC 29403 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expediter to join our culinary team. The Expeditor plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless flow between the kitchen and dining room. You are the final set of eyes on every plate before it reaches the guest, making sure every dish is accurate, beautifully presented, and served at the ideal temperature. In our kitchen, timing and communication are key — especially when coordinating multi-course meals and family-style service. Responsibilities Coordinate the flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring timely delivery. Communicate clearly and efficiently with chefs, line cooks, servers, and runners Monitor food presentation and quality before it leaves the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen pass. Uphold high standards of customer service by addressing any issues or concerns promptly. Review each plate for accuracy, garnish, temperature, and presentation Stay aware of all special requests, allergies, and modifications, ensuring these are executed correctly Requirements Previous experience in a culinary or restaurant environment is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cooking techniques is advantageous. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are necessary for success in this role.
