SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES
Responsible for performing clerical support in the daily operations and functions of Loan Operations. This position includes filing, organizing, and safekeeping of all collateral loan documents in the Collateral Vault. Open, process and distribute mail within Loan Operations. Provide support to various teams within Loan Ops with working reports, mailing letters and checks and distribution
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintains the integrity, organization, and accuracy of filing of all documents contained in the Support Center Collateral Vault; file collateral/legal documents received and pulling paid out files daily.
Organize all files in collateral vault to ensure room for expansion with changes in volume. Perform a routine annual audit of the vault contents using reports to ensure that all files are accounted for. Sort and distribute mail for Loan Operations daily.
Assist with preparing and mailing letters and checks to customers. Upon request, ensure paper loan documents are also replicated in the Bank’s imaging system.
Order and manage office supplies for department.
Cross-train in areas within Loan Operations to provide support during changes in volumes.
Provides quality customer service to internal and external clients and responds professionally orally and in writing. Performs all other duties and special projects assigned by Management.
Ensures compliance with the South State Bank Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and other operating policies and procedures. Completes compliance training and adheres to all Federal and State regulatory requirements.

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements
Education:
High School graduate or equivalent
Experience:
A minimum of one year of office experience working in a clerical-type capacity; Knowledge of loan servicing functions including familiarity with consumer, commercial, and mortgage loan documents is preferred. Experience with FiServ Premier System is preferred.
Certifications/Specific Knowledge:
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel with the ability to create and manage spreadsheets.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES
Required annual compliance training; New Employee Orientation
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Must be able to climb up and down ladders. Must be able to lift file boxes that may weigh up to 30 lbs. Must be able to work in a cool, climate-controlled and confined environment for long periods of time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is in a cubicle environment that may be loud throughout the day or within the Collateral Vault that is confined with filing systems.
