Working closely with the Academic Scheduler and reporting to the Director of Academic Operations, this role supports faculty and staff by responding to inquiries, assisting with troubleshooting and data entry, and contributing to training and documentation efforts. The position plays a key role in ensuring smooth user experiences across platforms including academic scheduling, catalog, curriculum, event scheduling, syllabus, and course evaluation systems. Provide Tier One customer service and support via phone, email, and in-person walk-in interactions for academic operations software users. Assist end-users with troubleshooting basic technical issues, understanding system functionality, and navigating platform tools. Triage and document support tickets; escalating complex issues as appropriate. Enter, verify, and update data in academic systems as directed. Respond to questions related to training materials, platform functionality, and academic operations procedures. Assist in the development and delivery of training workshops and one-on-one support sessions. Help create and update just-in-time resources such as quick reference guides, video tutorials, and FAQ documents. Contribute to testing new functionality or features prior to deployment. Provide administrative and technical support to the Academic Operations Department. This position is located on the Midlands Technical College Airport and Beltline Campus Minimum and Additional Requirements High school diploma or equivalent and relevant experience. Experience providing technical or customer support in an academic or professional environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on customer service. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and common web-based platforms. Comfort learning new software systems and explaining technical concepts to non-technical users. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree or higher in IT or related field. Experience with higher education academic operations systems such as Coursedog, Brightspace (D2L), Campus Labs, or similar platforms. Experience with data entry, documentation, and knowledge base creation. Background in instructional technology, education, or IT support.
