We are seeking an experienced and tenacious Master Scheduler to transform our Sales, Inventory, and Operational Planning (SIOP) process into an automated, data-driven, and predictive tool that will generate the master production schedule (MPS), our blueprint for success. The Master Scheduler will be responsible for developing and maintaining the MPS to ensure on-time delivery of products to customers, inventory level optimization, efficient material flow, and adequate manufacturing resources within the plant.
Key Responsibilities
Utilizing inputs from the cross-functional SIOP team, develop and drive execution of the MPS.
Analyze sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels to create firm production schedules and inventory projections in the short and long term.
Monitor attainment of MPS and assist team with root cause analysis, risk mitigation, and implementation of sustainable solutions for adverse performance.
Initiate and facilitate continuous improvements to SIOP process.
In conjunction with Procurement and Logistics teams, own key performance indicators related to safety, inventory, purchase price variance, and on-time delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, operations management, or a related field. MBA or APICS certification preferred.
5+ years production scheduling experience in a make-to-order environment.
3-5 years of experience in SIOP leadership, preferably in an automotive or remanufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles.
Proven ability to lead teams, drive change, and improve operational performance.
Experience with safety regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
