Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Logistics or related discipline required.
- Master’s degree in business management or related discipline preferred.
SPECIALISED TECHNIQUES/KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of:
- Meat and Poultry Processing
- Product scheduling techniques and procedures
- Food Safety management systems (HACCP)
- Thorough knowledge of the product lines and production processes
- Project management and risk management
- Customer engagement techniques
- Statistical Process Control and Data Analysis
- Supply chain management
- Demand planning, forecasting and inventory management.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills and team working ability.
- Good negotiation and selling skills.
- Computer literate experience:
- Two (2) or more years of experience in production planning.
- Two (2) or more years of experience within a quality management function

Suppliers Customers Regulatory Bodies Role and Core Function:
To coordinate product-scheduling activities among Sales, Operations and Field departments in an effective and efficient manner and ensure that adequate product inventory levels are maintained, and ideal product mix achieved to maximize the profitability of the Company. To provide timely planning and scheduling of production processes to meet our customer needs.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Specific
- Evaluate purchase orders to create and prioritize production schedules to meet customer needs and evaluate the efficacy of the schedules created.
- Measure and track performance to consistently minimize bias/errors, improve planning accuracy and order fulfillment.
- Analyze back orders, current orders and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule the production operations.
- Communicate production schedules with sales team and operations.
- Make any necessary adjustments or corrections to the schedule.
- Notify sales of any schedule impacts to customers.
- Inform the relevant department of changes to current production schedules that may impact our customer.
- Ensure scheduling maintains shipping commitments for effective service to all customers and advise sales of any unplanned delays.
- Participate in daily meetings with sales, marketing, and production departments.
- Oversee inventory and gather information of production overrun to inform the sales team.
- Inform customers of schedule changes and/or delays.
- Ensure adherence to all Quality and Safety, Health and Environment (QSHE) standards as well as current motor vehicle, security, food safety systems, policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
