The IT Operations Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the organization’s IT services. This position is responsible for overseeing the coordination and timely resolution of help desk tickets, managing IT tasks related to property onboarding and offboarding, and serving as the primary IT business lead for cross-functional, organization-wide projects. Acting as a bridge between technical teams and operational stakeholders, the IT Operations Coordinator ensures alignment of IT support with business needs, drives process improvements, and supports strategic initiatives by facilitating communication, tracking progress, and ensuring accountability across IT functions. This role requires strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and a collaborative mindset to maintain high service levels and contribute to the ongoing success of IT operations. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, leadership, and residents. Outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and deadlines efficiently. A passion for chasing excellence and providing exemplary customer service. Solid understanding of IT service management (ITSM) principles, help desk operations, and support ticket workflows. Familiarity with onboarding/offboarding processes related to hardware, software, accounts, and network access. Working knowledge of business applications such as Office 365, endpoint management platforms, and cloud file systems (e.g., Dropbox). Understanding of IT asset management, vendor coordination, and warranty/support services (e.g., Dell ProSupport). Awareness of cybersecurity best practices and user access controls. Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across teams and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to escalate appropriately. Proficiency with ticketing systems (e.g., ConnectWise, Zendesk, Jira Service Management) and documentation tools. Ability to collect, analyze, and present data related to IT operations and service levels. Ability to build relationships with property-level and corporate staff to ensure effective IT support. Ability to serve as a liaison between technical teams and business units, translating needs into actionable solutions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Oversee the intake, triage, and resolution of IT support tickets to ensure timely and effective service delivery. Monitor ticket queues, assign tasks, and follow up on outstanding issues. Manage the IT aspects of new property openings and closings, including provisioning and decommissioning of hardware, software, accounts, and network access. Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure a seamless transition. Represent IT in cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment with IT standards, timelines, and resources. Act as the primary liaison between IT and business stakeholders to communicate requirements, timelines, and updates. Serve as a key point of contact for IT communications, updates, and escalations. Provide clear and proactive updates to stakeholders on the status of IT initiatives and support issues. Create and maintain documentation related to IT operations, procedures, onboarding/offboarding workflows, and project plans. Contribute to standardizing and improving operational processes.
SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of recent hands-on systems or network deployment and administration work, ideally within an MSP environment. Security Systems Administrator experience level or above on
Defender, Entra, Intune, Compliance Manager/E-discovery Project Execution:
Proven experience in managing Microsoft cloud solutions, server and email migrations, and IT project delivery.
Advanced Systems Expertise:
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS (10, 11, Server 2016, 2019, 2022), building servers from scratch, configuring storage solutions, and managing complex network environments on-prem, in virtualized environments, and in the cloud.
Certifications:
CompTIA A+ and Network+, with Cloud+ or Security+ preferred.
MSP Tools & Technologies:
Experience with ConnectWise Manage, ConnectWise Automate, and other MSP-focused tools.
Server Proficiency:
Solid understanding of Windows server implementation, configuration, alerting/monitoring, backup/recovery and virtualization. Experience with IP routing, DNS, DHCP and system security.
