General Description:
The Legal Department Administrative Operations (LDAO) Specialist will support the LDAO Manager and other members of the LDAO team as assigned and assist with the administration of a variety of Legal Department policies, programs and processes, ensuring a high level of administrative, technical, and professional support.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
Assist in the administration, and compliance of, various Legal Department programs, policies, and procedures, including but not limited to, the firm’s Transition Partner-Departing Attorney (Offboarding) program and Audit Response Letters process. Answer routine questions via email or telephone and/or route appropriately. Organize and maintain team and department files and correspondence as directed. Handle sensitive and confidential information, correspondence, and records in a secure manner at all times. Generate and maintain various spreadsheets and reports as needed or requested. Schedule calls and meetings and maintain various department calendars as directed. Provide assistance to other members of the Legal Department as requested. Additional administrative support responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills:
Excellent organizational skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail.
Required Qualifications & Education:
3+ years of professional experience. Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite and a document management system, such as iManage. Strong initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision. Ability to prioritize, adapt to change, and work on multiple projects at once. Ability to interact effectively with Firm personnel at all levels with a high degree of professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications & Education:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience with digital workflow platform, ServiceNow, a plus. Experience in a law firm setting preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Moderate or advanced keyboard usage. This position may be filled in Illinois, Maryland, District of Columbia, or New York. The base salary ranges for this position are listed below. These ranges may not be applicable to other locations. An individual’s actual compensation will depend on the individual’s qualifications and experience.
