Full Job Description Job Summary:
Interacts with physician offices in scheduling operative procedures, verifying patient data, and transmitting all data/information to nursing areas. Maintains communication within the department and relays messages to appropriate staff.

High School education and experience in medical terminology.

Clerical experience and/or hospital experience is desirable. Must be able to work with people. Always courteous with a good telephone voice and able to meet the public.
Department position summary:
The employee works well with people, hospital personnel, patients, families, and visitors. Responsible for communication flow within the department, answering the telephone with a friendly attitude, working with physician offices and all hospital departments to schedule patients for surgery. This is a full-time Monday-Friday position with hours of 9am-5pm.
