Schedules, records and reviews patient appointments from physicians and patients with precertification requirements being met.

Essential Functions ?
Ensures that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the appointment scheduling system with timeliness and accuracy.
Reviews all incoming orders to scheduling department for CPT, diagnosis, and credentialing accuracy.
Distributes and explains forms, documents, and educational handouts to patients or family members.
Provides explanation of process and addresses concerns and questions.
Communicates with admitting physician’s office, appropriate hospital unit staff, and/or other appropriate personnel regarding appointments to exchange necessary information and determine placement. Job Requirements ?

X High school diploma or equivalent Required

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
