Full Job Description Position Summary:

The Security Operations Specialist (Armed) is responsible for ensuring the safety of Quanta facilities, employees, and safeguarding high value computer components from theft and espionage. This person will be the direct link with Quanta supervisors at all of Quanta’s Nashville Tn facilities for security issues regarding security cameras, door locks, turnstiles, and other duties as assigned,

Essential Functions:

Understand and define client expectations, policies, and procedures. Be an Operational Security direct link to Quanta supervisors and managers. Document operational security performance standards. Create and maintain a working relationship with the Physical Security Compliance Officer. Perform building and equipment inspections. Represent the Corporate Physical Security by Providing Professional Protection for Employees and Property of Quanta Computer – Nashville. Establish a local business neighborhood watch program to include local police. Complete daily and/or hourly reports, including relevant information, observations, surveillance footage and signatures. Check all doors, windows, and exits. Maintain and utilize handgun with the highest degree of safety; utilizing ONLY when absolutely necessary per Quanta guidelines and training . Assist supervisors and managers to develop plans to mitigate risk exposure, improve employee safety, and ensure each departments’ security success. Explore possibilities of incorporating IT security with physical security. Establish a network of communication to support operational effectiveness during crisis management situations. Other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Associates Degree A minimum of 2 years’ successful, proven experience in a supervisory / management role. Proficient in computers, and aptitude to learn new software systems. Experience with security equipment and surveillance systems. Certification in First Aid, CPR/BLS and self-defense, preferred. Law enforcement or military experience preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to use tact and diplomacy. Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group and resolve ambiguous situations. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including production staff and C-Suite. Ability to be a team player and work efficiently under minimal supervision. Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds; Clarity of vision including ability to distinguish colors; Ability to move around a production/warehouse environment; Occasionally lift/move items weighing up to 30 pounds; Work in both a typical office environment and a typical manufacturing environment with warm/cold temperatures and loud noises; Ability to travel between buildings within a 10 mile radius.
