The Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared and delivered efficiently and accurately, maintaining high standards of service in our restaurant or hotel environment. This position requires excellent communication skills and a passion for culinary excellence, making it ideal for individuals with a background in food service or hospitality. Duties Coordinate the flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring timely delivery to guests. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to clarify orders and address any special requests or dietary restrictions. Monitor food presentation and quality, ensuring that all dishes meet our standards before they leave the kitchen. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety regulations. Support cooks and culinary staff during busy periods by helping with food preparation and plating as needed. Collaborate with team members to enhance guest experiences, providing exceptional service during banquets and special events. Participate in training sessions on food safety practices and culinary techniques to stay updated on industry standards. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or banquet setting is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of culinary terms and food safety practices is highly desirable. Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for hospitality and providing excellent customer service. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. This is a weekend job. Friday – Sunday, room to expand.
