Director of Operations Role:

The Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in connecting VetMed’s teleradiology team with clients at various healthcare facilities across the country. As an Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for handling administrative and clerical duties, analyzing and optimizing worklist management, and ensuring smooth functioning of the remote office. Your primary goal is to maintain internal processes and enhance customer experience for our external clients while maintaining high quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

Teleradiology worklist management which involves communication with our radiologists, hospital technicians and referring physicians. Professionally answer inbound phone calls and call-in critical findings. Receive inbound requests from the client and make sure appropriate follow-up is completed. Document internal and external quality assurance or quality control issues. Comply with HIPAA rules. Always maintain patient confidentiality. If you need to send or receive protected health information (PHI) or personally identifiable information (PII) use encrypted communications such as Virtru or secure fax. Maintain company-issued equipment in working order and in a secure environment. Never store confidential patient information on company-issued computers.

Qualifications:

High school diploma required. Associates degree preferred. A minimum of 2 years’ experience with medical terminology is required. Must have internet access and VoIP phone experience. Ability to pass a federal background check. Strong, professional interpersonal and communication skills to work closely with all teammates and medical professionals. Knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and the ability to learn new programs a must. Excellent written skills to include correct grammar and spelling. Ability to read and interpret relevant information in a medical document. Must be reliable and able to work without direct supervision. Attention to detail is a must. Must be fluent in written and spoken English. Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. Problem solving skills and a proactive mindset is a must. A minimum of 2 years’ experience as an ARRT RT, Operations Coordinator, Workflow Specialist, Operations Support Specialist, Healthcare Front Office Specialist, 68W/68P or two years relevant medical background.

Job Type:
Full-time Pay:

$22.17 – $26.70 per hour
