Receiving Supervisor 1.8 1.8 out of 5 stars 3022 Greenhill Blvd NW, Fort Payne, AL 35968 The receiving supervisor is responsible for maintaining inventory counts and quality control procedures for incoming and outgoing products. The duties include unloading trucks, receiving shipments by comparing to purchase orders, and preparing items for shipping to customers. Performs any other job duties, projects, etc. as assigned by the manager. The receiving supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all other employees within the receiving department. Receiving Orders Keep track of incoming shipment schedules. Receive shipments, examine packing slips for accuracy, and determine if packages are sent to the correct person. Compare packing lists to purchase orders ensuring accurate deliveries. Ensure shipments are inspected and sorted and no damaged items are received. Return damaged, canceled, and incorrect items ordered. Re-bag items and affix labels as necessary to stock shelves. Maintain a physical and electronic file of received items documents Inventory Proper use of the inventory system to ensure all items are tracked accurately. Serial numbers Lot numbers Expiration dates Update the product inventory in the system as items are received, stored, and moved. Barcode all items received according to their item information within the inventory system. Move inventory to stock shelves while practicing FIFO. Pack products to prepare for shipping to customers. Repack products that are returned to vendors and fill out the RMAs when necessary. Weekly overview of inventory to restock shelves. Collaborating with the shipping team to ensure all items are stocked. Monthly inventory for product control. Perform weekly cycle counts. Skills Computer skills a must. Detail-oriented Knowledge of data entry and inventory software programs is a preference. Ability to lift 50 pounds Experience driving 26′ box truck that includes backing into a dock to load and unload inventory preferred but not required.
