Shipping Clerk 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Birmingham, AL 35217 Position Summary The Shipping Clerk is responsible for fulfilling orders, working both independently and on a team. The candidate must be able to fulfill orders for internal and external customers. Extensive on the job training and e-learning must be successfully completed as required. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The Shipping Clerk will demonstrate initiative, commitment to teamwork, enthusiasm for customer service, and dedication to finding solutions in an efficient manner. Essential Responsibilities & Expectations Pull proper parts from inventory in correct quantities Accurately process and complete parts orders without supervision Operate a lift truck in a safe manner Respond appropriately to customer demands Mentor Shipping Clerk Trainees Deliver parts and packages to designated areas in a timely manner Schedule pickup and delivery of merchandise by common carriers Other duties assigned by Management as needed Experience Required A minimum of 1-3 years of work experience involving shipping related tasks is preferred. Experience using personal computers and basic typing skills are required.
