SHIPPING RECEIVING CLERK-FINANCIAL AFFAIRS 4.1 4.1
out of 5 stars Birmingham, AL 35205 Description This position is a M-F job (typical shift is 7:30am-4pm) with weekends and standard holidays off. Applicants will be required to complete and pass approval on Alabama Motor Vehicle Release through Risk Management (before hire date) and maintain after hire. This will allow them to drive a state vehicle to make deliveries across campus in order to perform their routine daily duties. Applicants must be 21 years old, or older and able to lift and carry a minimum of 25 lbs. Duties & Responsibilities To perform manual and clerical duties for UAB Shipping and Receiving through the receipt, storage, issuance, and maintenance of supplies, materials and equipment. To load and unload departmental and delivery vehicles with the use of forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner. To receive and inspect freight and shipping documentation for damage and correctness. To deliver freight, supplies and other materials throughout UAB. To place supplies and equipment in appropriate storage areas and to rearrange materials as necessary for delivery. Perform other duties as assigned.
Hourly Pay Range:
$15.45 – $15.91 Qualifications High school diploma or GED required.
