Shipping/Receiving Clerk/Material Handler American Lumber/TLR 777 Clow Rd, Birmingham, AL 35217 American Lumber is a leading manufacturer in the lumber industry. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will answer directly to the on-site Shipping and Receiving Manager.

Responsibilities:

Ensure the accuracy of all inbound and outbound shipments. Prepare receiving paperwork and inventory tags for inbound lumber shipments. Verify and communicate discrepancies on inbound shipments. Prepare Loading Ticket and BOL for outbound shipments. Verify shipments are loaded accurately and in a safe manner. Perform Quality Control inspections of both inbound and outbound lumber shipments. Assist in inventory monitoring and overall inventory control. To be successful in this position , the following will be required: Manage inbound and outbound traffic flow to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient handling of lumber products. Possess excellent communication skills – written and verbal Be proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook Coordinate forklift scheduling in regard to shipments. Ensure accuracy in all shipments. Provide Quality Control inspections to ensure superior customer satisfaction. Maintain an organized an professional work space.

• Must be able to safely operate a forklift to load and unload bundles of lumber.
• Must be a team player, willing to work with all other team members
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred, but not required
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• All new hires must have a valid email address, for onboarding purposes
• Pay commensurate with experience Work week is Monday thru Friday 6:30am to 3:30pm Employees can earn an extra $1.

00 per hour bonus by attending work, on time, everyday! This bonus is paid out weekly.
