This role includes preparing, packaging, labeling, and coordinating shipments with carriers. The Shipping Clerk also maintains documentation and ensures shipments meet both company and carrier guidelines. Key Responsibilities 1. Preparing and Packaging Shipments Select appropriate packaging materials Label items with accurate addresses and tracking numbers Securely package items for safe transport 2. Scheduling and Logistics Coordinate with carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx) to schedule pickups and deliveries Ensure timely and efficient processing of shipments 3. Documenting and Tracking Shipments Generate shipping documents (invoices, packing slips, etc.) Verify order accuracy before shipment Update and maintain shipment tracking and status information 4. Inventory Management Maintain accurate inventory records May assist with receiving, storing, and organizing incoming goods 5. Equipment Operation Use tools such as barcode scanners, digital scales, postage machines, forklifts, or pallet jacks 6. Maintaining Shipping Area Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies 7. Communication and Collaboration Coordinate with warehousing, customer service, and logistics teams Address and resolve any shipping-related issues

Qualifications and Skills Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50 lbs or more; stamina for physical tasks Attention to

Detail:

Accuracy in labeling, documentation, and order verification

Organizational Skills:

Ability to multitask and prioritize shipments effectively

Computer Skills:

Basic proficiency with shipping software and data entry

Communication:

Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
