High School Responsibilities Receiving Duties:

Safely unload diverse materials (raw steel, exotic metals, components) using forklifts, cranes, or specialized equipment. Inspect for damage, verify against purchase orders and crucial Material Test Reports (MTRs). Accurately receive materials into ERP/WMS systems, noting details like heat numbers for traceability. Properly store raw materials in designated areas, assisting with inventory counts and expediting critical items to production.

Shipping Duties:

Pick and prepare finished fabricated parts and assemblies, often requiring custom crating, skids, or specialized dunnage due to unique shapes and sizes. Secure items for transit and apply protective coatings. Prepare complex shipping documentation, including detailed Bills of Lading, packing lists, MTRs, and customs forms. Coordinate with carriers for heavy/oversized freight, negotiate rates, and track shipments. Safely load large assemblies onto trucks using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement. Communicate effectively with internal teams (production, project management, QC) and external partners. Utilize ERP/WMS systems and shipping software. This role demands physical stamina for frequent lifting and standing in a manufacturing environment. Attention to detail, especially for material traceability and quality, is paramount.
