This is a full time position paying $18 an hour. The dock manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the store’s receiving and shipping dock, including managing the loading and unloading of merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. They also play a role in supporting other departments with tasks like moving fixtures and furniture.

Key Responsibilities:

Loading and Unloading:

Receiving and verifying merchandise shipments, ensuring accurate counts and proper handling of goods.

Inventory Management:

Maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking shipments, and ensuring that merchandise is appropriately stocked.

Organization and Cleanliness:

Keeping the dock area clean, organized, and free of hazards, adhering to safety protocols.

Supporting Other Departments:

Assisting with tasks such as moving fixtures, furniture, and supplies for other departments.

Communication and Collaboration:

Communicating with other departments and associates to ensure smooth operations.

Training and Development:

Training new dock associates and ensuring they understand safety procedures and best practices.

Problem Solving:

Identifying and resolving issues related to receiving, shipping, or inventory management.

Compliance:

Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as relevant safety regulations.
