As a key employee liaison between all guests of the community and the Residents. Receiving must be familiar with using computer software to perform various tasks, must demonstrate organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication. Duties and Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Receives incoming packages and enters information on packing slip into resident software. Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received. Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel. Delivers packages to Front Desk at times, and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items. Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents. May maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records. Follows established company policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety. Receives and logs contractors into the system and contractor log whom will perform work or deliver items to the units. Provide contractor badge along with photo to identify the individual while working inside the building. Maintains communication with Front Desk when a contractor has arrived and advise which unit they will need access for. Communicate with Management Office each time a contractor arrives with building materials or furniture deliveries to ensure they have provided the required elevator deposit. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Work Environment This position will be mostly indoors. Noise level will be moderate and position requires sitting most of the day. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 30 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. Position Type This is a non-exempt (hourly) position. This schedule will be determine by the property and may change to accommodate the business needs of the property. Required Education and Experience Prior experience in a related position. Six months to one year in related experience and/or training. Bi-lingual a plus; English and Spanish. Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms. Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Proficient use of MS Office. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull at least 30 lbs.
