Parts Job Summary:
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk in the Parts Department at Bomnin Automotive plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of parts inventory. This position is responsible for receiving incoming shipments, inspecting parts for accuracy and quality, and efficiently processing outgoing shipments to fulfill customer orders and maintain inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving:
Receive incoming parts and materials shipments. Inspect shipments for accuracy and completeness. Verify parts against packing slips and purchase orders. Report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the Parts Manager. Safely handle and store received parts in designated locations. Prepare and maintain accurate records of received shipments. Assist in reconciling physical inventory with electronic records.
Shipping:
Process outgoing parts shipments efficiently and accurately. Pick parts from inventory to fulfill customer orders. Package parts securely for shipment. Create shipping labels and documentation. Coordinate shipments with carriers or couriers. Track and trace outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery. Maintain organized records of shipped parts and tracking information. Collaborate with Parts Manager to prioritize and fulfill orders.
Inventory Control:
Assist in monitoring parts inventory levels. Support inventory counting and reconciliation efforts. Help maintain a well-organized and efficient parts storage area.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and organized shipping and receiving records. Assist in generating reports related to inventory and shipments. Collaborate with the Parts Manager to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
Safety:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines. Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.
