years Entry level Full Job Description Position Summary The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible of verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares and packs items for shipment. Key Responsibilities Assembles orders, checks against shipping or customer order and reports shortages and incomplete orders. Selects appropriate shipping containers and packing material. Operates standard manual and automatic equipment. Stacks shipments on skids and takes shipments to shipping dock Receives and unpacks materials and supplies. Checks receipts against purchase order for proper shipment, shortages, damages or defects. Expedites material to proper department or storage location. Operates crane, hoist or power truck to move materials. Process and scheduling of export shipments. Create shipping documents including export documentation Adhere to safety and company policies and procedures. Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. Requirements For Consideration High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 2 years of previous warehouse experience. Ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time and to work overtime as needed. Ability to follow workplace safety standards. Knowledge of basic computer skills. Excellent interpersonal skills under stressful situations and the ability to organize and prioritize. Must possess excellent communications skills, both written and verbal Have the ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, colleagues and members of the business community when required. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as basic mathematics. Ability to define basic problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to lift a minimum of 5 lbs. and up to 50 lbs.
