Shipping/Receiving Clerk American Architectural Millwork 248 James Street, Venice, FL 34285 We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join our team at American Architectural Products Group . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our millwork warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all shipping and receiving operations.
Responsibilities:
Receive Shipments:
Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists. Report any discrepancies or damages.
Prepare Shipments:
Accurately pick, pack, and label products for outgoing shipments. Ensure all documentation is complete and correct. Work with production team to pick and stage materials needed for upcoming orders. Also work with team members to record and return unused material to its allocated plant location
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records by updating the warehouse management system. Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and audits.
Material Handling:
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move materials within the warehouse.
Quality Control:
Inspect products for quality and compliance with specifications for items/orders being shipped out and received. Report any quality issues to the supervisor.
Documentation:
Maintain organized records of all shipping and receiving activities. Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
Communication:
Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required Experience:
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a shipping/receiving role, preferably in a millwork or manufacturing environment.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications in logistics or warehouse management are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for extended periods. Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
Certifications:
Forklift certification preferred.
