Core Focus:
The Material Handling Associate will perform various warehouse activities as well as receiving, picking, packing, loading, and unloading product. The MHA will also organize stock, maintain inventory, process order filling, and ship orders. Attention to detail is a must. The Associate will safely and skillfully operate all MHE and lift equipment inside warehouse. The Associate’s job functions may not always involve the use of MHE, subject to leadership discretion.
Role and Responsibilities:
Receives and moves boxed product/cases to the appropriate locations to provide the appropriate inventory levels and product distribution for shipping, receiving, storage and order fulfillment This process includes, but is not limited to, unloading, loading, movement, and storage of pallets, counting, sorting, cutting, stacking and operating powered equipment The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job Reads work orders or receives and listens to oral instructions to determine work assignments daily Loads and unloads cases onto, or from pallets, conveyors, racks, shelves, and carts by hand or with the use of powered equipment Conveys boxed product to and from designated areas, by hand or with use of powered equipment while observing strict safety procedures Able to manage workload based on changing demands Adheres to Powered Equipment Maintenance policies when operating powered equipment Prepare orders for shipping Communicate and cooperate with other departments/leadership Actively support our company programs (Safety, 5S, Standardized Work, etc) Required Experience High School Diploma (or equivalent) and previous warehouse experience 2 years of Material handling experience 1 year experience in shipping/ receiving environment 1 year experience working in 3rd Party omnichannel environment to include shipping to wholesalers, store retail, and ecommerce fulfillment Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos Ability to acquire and retain MHE license certification(s), and operate equipment safely at all times Excellent working knowledge of WMS/RF equipment (order fulfillment, inventory, etc) Familiarity with the use of the pallet jack, and other necessary warehouse equipment
