Job Description
Description We are looking for a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in managing the flow of goods and materials, ensuring accuracy in deliveries, and maintaining organized inventory records. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work collaboratively to support project needs.
Responsibilities:
- Verify the accuracy of deliveries by comparing purchase orders with invoices and packaging lists.
- Inspect incoming shipments to ensure they meet order specifications and quality standards.
- Receive, document, and sign for deliveries while ensuring proper paperwork is completed.
- Safely unload shipments and transport items to designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and store received goods in appropriate locations to maintain inventory organization.
- Update inventory records to reflect newly received items and ensure accurate stock levels.
- Conduct regular cycle counts to monitor inventory integrity and address discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing and staging materials and equipment required for upcoming projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely availability of required materials.
- Maintain detailed records of orders, inventory levels, and materials used for projects. Requirements
- Proven ability to lift and move heavy items in a physically demanding environment.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with data entry and inventory management software.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory tracking processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
- Basic math skills for cycle counting and order processing.
- Experience in clerical duties, auditing, and handling inbound calls.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to dynamic project requirements.
