Job Description
Staffmark is partnering with a respected employer in Covington, GA, to fill a direct hire position for an experienced Shipping Associate. This is a great opportunity to build a long-term career in a stable work environment with a company that values your contributions and offers solid benefits.
Pay:
$18-$22 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Day Shift) As a Shipping Associate, you will be responsible for a range of warehouse duties including receiving, processing, and shipping products. Your day-to-day tasks will involve unloading incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality, and accurately documenting all received materials. You will pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation. You’ll help manage inventory by organizing stock, maintaining accurate records, and performing routine inventory counts. In addition, you’ll coordinate shipments by preparing necessary paperwork and working with shipping carriers. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment is essential, and you’ll also be expected to operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts as needed.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a warehouse or shipping environment Proven ability to operate pallet jacks and forklifts Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly Strong knowledge of shipping processes and procedures Attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management Good organizational and communication skills Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and a commitment to safe practices
