Senior Manager, Transportation and Distribution Overview:
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for processing incoming orders and outgoing deliveries, reducing errors, and ensuring the quality of inventory. Duties include, but are not limited to: Order Processing Extract daily orders from the companys shared drive and Business Central cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. Create and assign ticket orders to the order-pulling team promptly. Create and print shipping labels and bills of lading for the Laser, Design & Die (LDD), and the Copy Paper Divisions. Shipping & Receiving Accurately enter the required shipping information using third-party shipping websites for customers. Ensure timely and accurate updating of all shipping and receiving information on the company log. Reduce the occurrence of shipping errors and lost items. Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments. Oversee the successful delivery of items to and from the warehouse. Logistics & Coordination Schedule assigned trucks for pickups and drop-offs. Communicate with drivers and suppliers to monitor the location of items throughout the delivery process. Maintain open communication among all team members and divisions involved in fulfilling daily orders. Notify and work with vendors for problems with damages, shortages, and incorrect orders. Warehouse Operations & Support Have a thorough knowledge of products that are being shipped. Identify and communicate potential challenges or operational inefficiencies to warehouse team members to ensure proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement. Other duties as assigned. A high school diploma or equivalent. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods with frequent light lifting.
Computer knowledge is required:
Experience in Microsoft Office and Excel. Strong organizational skills. Familiarity with record-keeping best practices. Understanding of safety regulations. Knowledge of warehouse operations and processes.
