Shipping and Receiving/Inventory Clerk Job Summary:
A Shipping Clerk’s primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient and accurate handling of outgoing shipments. This includes preparing packages, creating shipping labels, scheduling pick-ups, handling Will Call customers and tracking shipment status. They also may be involved in receiving and managing incoming shipments, as well as maintaining inventory records. Must be familiar with FedEx, UPS, LTL and hotshot carriers.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
Able to learn company specialized software and perform tasks within the system. Weighs, bands, and/or shrink-wraps orders or other items for shipment.
Checks shipments:
labels and makes packing list and applies as necessary. Stacks boxes and stocks items received in appropriate areas. Labels items for easy identification, keeps warehouse clean and organized, etc. Ship miscellaneous items, completed units, material etc. Deliver
UPS/FED EX
to the stores after hours. Load and unload trucks. Keep skid and carton area clean and organized, replenishing or removing items as necessary. Able to learn inventory process for staging areas, Work in Progress, and inventory items May be required to perform other related duties as required or assigned by supervisor. Verify serial numbers of outgoing products Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors Orders parts for customers Performs purchasing duties Manage inventory and consumables
Qualifications & Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required Minimum 2 years of shipping and receiving experience Basic computer literacy & familiarity with Microsoft Office Ability to obtain forklift certification within 90 days

Contact with all levels of personnel within the company and with vendors Frequent contact with the sales department and the
