Job Description
Traffic Coordinator
Mississippi TV, LLC (WTVA-TV) has an immediate opening for a Traffic Coordinator. In this position, one
would coordinate the daily preparation and maintenance of on-air logs, utilizing meticulous
management ofmercial inventory to maximize revenue. A Traffic Coordinator needs to be
extremelyanized and detail-oriented. The Traffic Coordinator would work under the direction of the
WTVA Traffic Manager, and will also coordinate with Sales Managers, Sales Assistants, and members of
Creative Services.
Traffic Coordinator Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensures all elements of traffic logs arepleted daily and delivered to Master Control
Secure and accurately input traffic instructions for broadcast advertisers
Ensuremercials are received, downloaded and processed by the correct deadlines
Work closely with Traffic Manager, Traffic Coordinators, and Sales Department
Manage revisions and missing instructions for assigned advertisers andmunicate with the
Sales Department to help resolve any issues
Manage storage ofmercials and purge spots as directed by Traffic Manager
Coordinate andmunicate with Master Control with any important changes
Traffic Coordinator Minimum Requirements:
College degree or two years experience with detail-focused position
Solid time management, oral and writtenmunication skills
Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Excel
Ability to work in an extremely high-paced, pressured environment to meet strict deadlines
Superioranizational skills – must be able to manage multiple priorities with confidence
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
