DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a reliable and experienced professional to join our Operations team in Philadelphia, MS as a Shipping Clerk. This key role supports our production and operations by managing the day-to-day coordination of high-volume shipping activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a background in an industrial environment, solid computer proficiency, and a working knowledge of shipping processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare shipping documents, bills-of-lading, and associated logistical forms utilizing Company software, Microsoft Office suite, and various customer-specific processes Coordinate daily and weekly trucking/shipping schedules Conduct and maintain communications with carriers, sales reps, and customers Control and organize all shipping related documents Verifies and records all items loaded for shipment Maintains database of shipment data to ensure that customer orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments as required. Work in the shop to tag and move freight for shipping Perform other job duties as assigned in administration and production support

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training is a plus. Candidates with adequate experience in a similar role or industrial setting may also be considered. Shipping and/or general office experience preferred. Basic understanding of dock, shipping, and warehouse procedures Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or general inventory software to input data, maintain records, and create reports. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
