PRIMARY PURPOSE

As a Warehouse Receiving Attendant, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the warehouse.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Unload trucks by forklift and pallet jack. Inspect incoming merchandise for count, specification, quality, and quantity, report shortages or damage to the receiving supervisor. Stock or deliver received items to the appropriate area or department, and check and sign for all incoming or outgoing items. Date and rotate all incoming perishable food items. Maintain a clean and orderly workstation. Assemble and deliver warehouse orders. Help maintain and assist the Receiving System (Stratton Warren). Assist in all physical inventories. Report any safety or OSHA violation to the supervisor. Perform other job-related duties as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent Two (2) years of warehouse and/or receiving experience

PREFERRED

Knowledgeable of Stratton Warren Experience working in a similar resort setting Certified forklift operator or ability to obtain certification

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES. AND REGISTRATIONS

Valid state issued Driver’s License

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Ability to operate a forklift (standard and automatic). Able to use an electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack, and a four-wheeled cart. Basic knowledge of computer software including Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine. Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills. Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

Ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, illumination, and air quality, and work a full-time and flexible work schedule which may result in extended hours and duties. Ability to withstand sub-zero-degree temperatures. Ability to work in a confined area. Ability to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while working under pressure requires mobility, and the ability to withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, and kneeling without restriction. Be able to hand carry large loads weighing up to 60 lbs. Able to transport, push, pull, lift and maneuver large loads. Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols. Able to communicate by telephone, email, and radio.
