Verify and maintain records on incoming andoutgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties includeassembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise ormaterial; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incomingmerchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation ofproducts.

Duties:

Verify and keep records of incoming and outingshipments. Prepares items for shipment using proper tools andpackaging materials. Including, construction, crating, shrinkwrapping etc. Compares identifying information and counts, weighsor measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verifyinformation against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or otherrecords. Unpack and examine incoming shipments, rejects/reportsdamaged items, and records shortages. Maintain accurate inventoryof shipping materials and supplies. Performs other related dutiesas assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

Knowledge ofshipping/receiving/inventory control procedures. Computerproficiency -Microsoft Word. Able to learn and effectively usecomputerized inventory systems. Ability to interact and communicateeffectively with manufacturing, internal support groups, andexternal transportation carriers.
