The Shipping & Receiving Handler is responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of the facility, ensuring accurate records are maintained and compliant. Reasonable accommodation may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Essential Functions Unload delivery trucks and carefully inspect for damage. Verify items received against the purchase orders (POs) to ensure accuracy. Keep detailed records of packing slips, shipping documents, and any discrepancies. Notify and work with vendors regarding damages, shortages, or incorrect orders. Assist in the Hand Finishing Department with sandblasting and standing up housings. Run the floor cleaner. Keep up with shipping ring inventory. Monitor and maintain the puck machine. Put away received materials and components in designated storage areas. Stock shelves and organize materials according to predetermined sequences. Participate in physical inventories. Prepare orders for shipment. Wrap, package, and ship materials, labeling boxes and packages appropriately. Load and unload trucks as instructed, moving materials in and out of work areas. Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments. Contact appropriate carriers to make shipping arrangements and provide instructions. Operate and inspect material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) safely. Follow safety protocols, maintain a clean working environment, and participate in facilities maintenance. Work closely with other teams to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of orders.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications A High School Diploma or GED. Ability to read and write in English. Basic math calculations for weighing packages, measuring dimensions, and calculating shipping costs.
