This includes preparing the department for daily production, processing documentation, direction and training of associates, and process improvement efforts.

What You Will Do At Acme:

Ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of outbound orders, including proper picking, packing, labeling, shipping, and completion of Bill of Lading (BOL) documentation with attention to temperature-sensitive requirements. Lead and supervise second shift warehouse staff, ensuring safe and compliant operations across both dry and cold storage areas. Train, mentor, and hold team members accountable for proper handling of refrigerated and frozen goods, including safe forklift operation. Manage cold storage inventory through regular cycle counts, accurate stock rotation, and adherence to food safety and cold chain standards. Utilize the M3 ERP system to track receiving, picking, and movement of temperature-controlled inventory. Conduct routine equipment inspections and promptly report safety or maintenance issues to ensure continuous, compliant operations. Plan and schedule outbound shipments and next-day truck pickups in coordination with logistics and production needs. Monitor team performance, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to performance reviews and improvement initiatives. Support administrative inventory tasks, including record-keeping and documentation updates. Assist others within the department, ensuring operational continuity during absences or periods of high volume.

Your Education & Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent. 2+ years of hand on experience in food manufacturing or food processing environment preferred. Forklift certification required. Strong understanding of production workflows, food safety protocols and quality control systems. Experience with HACCP, GMP, FDA, BRC, etc. Experience in data entry and production software systems (e.g. M3, CAT2, or similar ERP/QC platforms).

Reliable and punctual with excellent attendance. Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills. Technically proficient; able to troubleshoot basic software and use computer systems effectively. Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to perform well in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Positive attitude, eager to learn, and adaptable to shifting priorities. Physically capable of standing for extended periods and working in cold storage conditions. Forklift certified with experience operating material handling equipment safely. Must complete required training and follow standard operating procedures.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 pounds, as needed. Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual labor for extended periods, up to several hours at a time. Ability to work in varying temperatures, including coolers and freezers, for long periods of time. May be required to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
