We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shipping and Inventory Clerk to join our dynamic team.
Position Summary:
The Shipping and Inventory Clerk is responsible for preparing and verifying outgoing shipments, managing inventory records, and ensuring accuracy of products in a manufacturing environment. This role supports production by maintaining efficient warehouse operations and accurate stock control.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments per customer and company specifications. Coordinate with carriers and freight providers for timely pickups and deliveries. Receive incoming materials, verify quantities and documentation, and update inventory systems. Conduct routine inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies. Maintain organized storage of materials, components, and finished goods. Ensure shipping and inventory activities comply with internal policies and external regulations. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment as required (with proper certification). Complete shipping logs, bills of lading, and other required documentation accurately. Support audits, cycle counts, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in shipping and inventory areas.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory control (preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment). Proficiency with inventory software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook). Ability to perform basic math and unit conversions accurately. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently. Forklift certification or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods. Visual acuity required for reading documents and labels and operating equipment. Manual dexterity for handling small components and using warehouse tools.
Work Environment:
