Job Description
Job Description This position is subject to export control requirements. Manage export shipments utilizing freight forwarders.
- Review customs information, including HTS, ECCN, etc. for accuracy.
- Prepare export shipping documents for all shipments
- Determine proper tariff coding for freight per government requirements.
- Coordinate with the customer’s freight forwarder on ship date.
- Provide weights, carton count, skid count, and dims on orders.
- Email/Fax customs documents. Review the completed Shipper’s Export Declaration for shipment. Analyze shipment paperwork and answer detailed questions on C.O.O. and B.O.M.
- Send pre-alert documents
- Confirm Shipments in SAP. Operational Support
- “Troubleshoot” small package shipping problems and drive corrective actions with the carrier.
- Advise shipping dock on carrier routing for all domestic and international shipments. Verify Hazmat Declarations are correct and in compliance, including proper UN #, shipping name, class, packing group and other required information. Logistical support for 3M Scott Safety Team
- Estimate and provide quotes to sales and marketing.
- Review and verify shipments that meet all compliance requirements.
- Confirm customs info that is supplied is correct
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, data analytics, or a similar role.
