Duties:

Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing contents with manifests and other records; inspect for accuracy and condition. Pack, seal, label, and process shipments using various carrier software (FedEx, UPS, DHL, Old Dominion); generate bills of lading. Route materials internally using hand trucks or sorting bins; deliver items to appropriate departments. Maintain shipping and receiving documentation in both physical files and digital systems (Quantum and legacy systems). Create work orders, purchase orders, and 8130 work packages; order and track shop and shipping supplies. Determine optimal shipping methods, rates, and routes; schedule and coordinate scrap shipments, including palletizing and shrink-wrapping. Communicate with internal departments and external contacts to resolve discrepancies, damages, shortages, or shipping issues. Maintain a clean and organized shipping/receiving area, including trash removal and general upkeep.
