Supply Receiving Clerk Position Available In Sussex, New Jersey

MPL Laboratories is seeking a Supply Receiving Clerk in Sparta, NJ. This a laboratory support position reporting to the Assistant Group Leader of Receiving. Ideal candidate will have shipping, receiving, and order entry experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform all assigned receiving clerical responsibilities in the absence of the main Receiving ClerksPerform all assigned supply clerk responsibilitiesGreet couriers as they enter the laboratoryUpon receipt, record all incoming boxes in the Shipping Log BookUnpack boxes and prepare sample worksheets according to MPL Laboratories’ standard operating proceduresPrint labels for the laboratory techniciansReceive supplies as they arrive, checking for any obvious damagesCheck quantities and condition of supplies against the packing list, letting the Senior Manager of Microbiological Testing know immediately of any discrepanciesPut away supplies properly, with the oldest in frontUpdate supplies list dailyKeep supply areas as organized as possibleReport low inventory of supplies to the Assistant Group Leader ReceivingPerform all phases of waste disposal to include removing garbage and recycling, samples, broth and plate disposalRemove expired laboratory stock and equipment according to established disposal proceduresFile quality assurance and quality control information in accordance with established proceduresAdhere to all approved safety standards to include wearing approved clothing and personal protective equipmentLift and carry boxes of petri dishes and general laboratory equipment throughout the laboratoryRead and follow standard operating proceduresOther responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager

Requirements:

High School diploma or GED equivalent Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipLaboratory experience either in academic or commercial setting is a plus Proficient in MS Excel and Word Excellent Oral, Written, and Technical CommunicationMath aptitude and reading skills Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods of timeAbility to distinguish colors in order to perform analysisAbility to work independently, and as a part of a team, self-motivated, adaptability, and a positive attitude Effective time management organizational skills, and ability to multi- task and prioritize with minimal assistance

Background Check RequiredAvailable Shift:
