Supply Receiving Clerk 2.2 2.2 out of 5 stars 12 Wilson Drive, Sparta, NJ 07871 MPL Laboratories is seeking a Supply Receiving Clerk in Sparta , NJ . This a laboratory support position reporting to the Assistant Group Leader of Receiving. Ideal candidate will have shipping, receiving, and order entry experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform all assigned receiving clerical responsibilities in the absence of the main Receiving Clerks Perform all assigned supply clerk responsibilities Greet couriers as they enter the laboratory Upon receipt, record all incoming boxes in the Shipping Log Book Unpack boxes and prepare sample worksheets according to MPL Laboratories’ standard operating procedures Print labels for the laboratory technicians Receive supplies as they arrive, checking for any obvious damages Check quantities and condition of supplies against the packing list, letting the Senior Manager of Microbiological Testing know immediately of any discrepancies Put away supplies properly, with the oldest in front Update supplies list daily Keep supply areas as organized as possible Report low inventory of supplies to the Assistant Group Leader Receiving Perform all phases of waste disposal to include removing garbage and recycling, samples, broth and plate disposal Remove expired laboratory stock and equipment according to established disposal procedures File quality assurance and quality control information in accordance with established procedures Adhere to all approved safety standards to include wearing approved clothing and personal protective equipment Lift and carry boxes of petri dishes and general laboratory equipment throughout the laboratory Read and follow standard operating procedures Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager

Requirements:

High School diploma or GED equivalent Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Laboratory experience either in academic or commercial setting is a plus Proficient in MS Excel and Word Excellent Oral, Written, and Technical Communication Math aptitude and reading skills Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods of time Ability to distinguish colors in order to perform analysis Ability to work independently, and as a part of a team, self-motivated, adaptability, and a positive attitude Effective time management organizational skills, and ability to multi- task and prioritize with minimal assistance

Background Check Required Available Shift:
