Description Summary of Job:

Under the direction of the Plant Supervisor, the Shipping Clerk will perform some, or all of the various duties and tasks related to the Shipping Department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Pack orders and prepare them to be shipped.
• Inspection of items to ensure there is no damage nor missing parts.
• Packing goods according to specifications and transporting them to shipping dock area.
• Track all orders to ensure inventory is accurately recorded.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Maintain a professional, clean and safe work area.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Proficient in basic computer applications.
• Basic mathematical ability.
• Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (30 to 50 pounds in weight).
• Problem-solver who can think quantitatively and notice defects and errors quickly.
• Using a high level of attention to detail/detail oriented.
• Strong communication skills and can work as a team member with a wide variety of people in the supply chain.
• High School Diploma, or GED. Physical Job Requirements and Work Environment
